Board Foot is a British-owned development company that designs, builds and holds a small number of architect-designed chalets in Hakuba, Japan.Board Footは、英国人オーナーが率いる開発会社です。白馬において、建築家がデザインした少数のシャレーを自ら企画・建設し、保有しています。

Our founder first skied Hakuba in 2015 and has returned every winter since. After two decades running a design-led timber business in Asia, developing in the valley was a natural next step: the timber knowledge, the supplier relationships and the eye for interiors were already there. What was missing was the right piece of land.創業者が初めて白馬でスキーをしたのは2015年。以来、毎年冬に白馬を訪れています。アジアでデザイン性の高い木材事業を20年にわたり率いてきた経験から、白馬での開発は自然な流れでした。木材の知識、サプライヤーとの関係、インテリアへの目は、すでに揃っていたのです。足りなかったのは、ふさわしい土地だけでした。
In 2024 we acquired a forested site in Misorano, a quiet residential area a few minutes' walk from Echoland and the Happo-One lifts. On it we built the Boots Off Collection: three chalets designed for the way people actually live in the mountains, with a proper dry room and heated boot racks at the door, a wood-burning stove at the centre, and a deep soaking tub looking into the trees.2024年、エコーランドや八方尾根のリフトから徒歩数分の閑静な住宅地、みそら野の森に囲まれた土地を取得しました。そこに建てたのがBoots Off Collectionです。山での実際の暮らし方を考え抜いた3棟のシャレー。玄関には本格的な乾燥室とブーツウォーマー、中心には薪ストーブ、そして森を眺める深い浴槽を備えています。
We build to hold. Our chalets are operated as private residences for guests by Hakuba Hospitality Group, and from time to time an individual chalet is offered for sale through licensed local agents.私たちは長期保有を前提に建てています。シャレーはHakuba Hospitality Group（HHG）がゲスト向けのプライベートレジデンスとして運営し、時折、個別のシャレーを地元の宅建業者を通じて売却しています。

Nestled in a serene, forested corner of Misorano, each chalet combines minimalist design with warm alpine character. The open-plan upper floor is finished in natural timber with floor-to-ceiling glazing, so the living, dining and kitchen spaces are filled with light and open onto a private deck. A contemporary wood-burning stove anchors the lounge. Underfloor heating runs throughout.みそら野の静かな森の一角に建つ各シャレーは、ミニマルなデザインに温かみのあるアルパインの雰囲気を組み合わせています。オープンプランの2階は天然木で仕上げ、床から天井までの大きな窓から光が溢れ、リビング・ダイニング・キッチンがプライベートデッキへとつながります。リビングの中心には現代的な薪ストーブ、全館に床暖房を備えています。
Four bedrooms each look into the trees. Of the three bathrooms, the master en-suite is the highlight: a large soaking tub with a forest view. Interiors are furnished to a high specification with pieces from Fredericia, Vitra, USM, Soho House and Karimoku, with generous storage throughout.4つの寝室はいずれも森に面しています。3つの浴室のうち、主寝室に付属する森を望む大きな浴槽が最大の見どころです。インテリアはFredericia、Vitra、USM、Soho House、Karimokuの家具で高い水準に仕上げ、収納も十分に確保しています。

The Boots Off Collection is the second Hakuba project for our founder, and not the last.Boots Off Collectionは創業者にとって白馬で2つ目のプロジェクトであり、最後ではありません。
Our founder's first Hakuba property, acquired in 2024, was Latitude 36, a three-bedroom chalet in Echoland, operated as a guest residence and sold in 2025. Board Foot's own first project, the 1,680 m² Misorano site, followed the same year: it was subdivided into four plots, three chalets were built, and the fourth plot carries planning permission for a further chalet. In 2025 a further Misorano plot of about 527 m², beside The Cultured hotel, was acquired and studied as the seed of a second collection, with layouts, setbacks, house footprints and a full investment model worked through. That design work carries forward to the next site.創業者が白馬で最初に取得した物件は2024年、エコーランドの3寝室シャレー「Latitude 36」で、ゲスト向けレジデンスとして運営したのち2025年に売却しました。Board Foot自身の最初のプロジェクトとなるみそら野の1,680㎡の土地は同じ年に取得し、4区画に分筆して3棟のシャレーを建設。4つ目の区画には、さらに1棟を建てる建築許可を取得済みです。2025年には、The Cultured ホテルに隣接するみそら野の約527㎡の区画を取得し、次のコレクションの起点として、区画配置、セットバック、建物の配置計画、投資モデルを検討しました。この検討の成果は、次の土地にそのまま活かされます。

Robin Dell is a British entrepreneur who has lived and worked in China for more than twenty years. He first came to China on a university exchange in 1999 and returned in 2003 to build a business. A graduate of the London School of Economics, he founded imondi, a Shanghai-based design and manufacturing company that makes reclaimed and engineered timber flooring by hand, with its own factory in Jiangsu. imondi supplies hotels, restaurants and residences in more than 35 countries, has worked with clients such as Starbucks China, and received the British Chamber of Commerce and United Nations Environmental Impact Award in 2019 for its work with salvaged timber.ロビン・デルは、20年以上にわたり中国で生活し事業を営んできた英国人起業家です。1999年に大学の交換留学で初めて中国を訪れ、2003年に事業を立ち上げるために戻りました。ロンドン・スクール・オブ・エコノミクス卒業。上海を拠点とし、江蘇省の自社工場で古材および複合フローリングを手作業で製造するデザイン・製造会社imondiを創業。imondiは35か国以上のホテル、レストラン、住宅に納入し、スターバックス中国などの顧客と協業、2019年には古材活用の取り組みにより英国商工会議所・国連の環境インパクト賞を受賞しました。
